If you obtain this feature, the System Administrator can enable itat any time on the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM 8825 and X2 TECHby sending a special feature key file to the Printer. Once the feature isenabled, it remains enabled (even following upgrades to the systemsoftware). Contact your XEROX sales representative for orderinginformation.OverviewJOB ACCOUNTING is a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION menu option.Access to it is restricted to the system administrator and requires theentry of the system administration password.The JOB ACCOUNTING option allows Scanner and Printer usage to berecorded in user defined account numbers. Usage is expressed as thearea (not the length) of the media scanned or used.Job Accounting for the Scanner is controlled through the ScannerControl Panel. For the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM 8825, 8830,8850, 510 Series, and 721P, Job Accounting for the Printer can be setfrom either the Printer Control Panel or the Web-based PrinterManagement Tool (PMT). For the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM721P and X2 TECH, Job Accounting for the Printer can be set from theWeb PMT only.The Web PMT consists of special Web pages located in the Controller.They are accessible through either the Microsoft Internet Explorer or theNetscape browsers. Version 4.0 or higher is required for proper results.Other Web browsers are not supported and may or may not workcorrectly.Job Accounting can be set on the Scanner or Printer to one of threemodes. The modes are:• ENABLED all jobs require a valid account number,• OPTIONAL a valid account number is optional for any job
