FUEL TANK7-2EAS26630REMOVING THE FUEL TANK1. Extract the fuel in the fuel tank through thefuel tank cap with a pump.2. Remove:• Fuel hoseWARNINGEW3P61012Cover fuel hose connections with a clothwhen disconnecting them. Residual pres-sure in the fuel lines could cause fuel tospurt out when removing the hoses.TIP• To remove the fuel hose from the fuel rail, slidethe fuel hose connector cover “1” on the end ofthe hose in the direction of the arrow shown,press the two buttons “2” on the sides of theconnector, and then remove the hose.• Remove the fuel hose manually without usingany tools.• Before removing the hose, place a few rags inthe area under where it will be removed.3. Remove:• Fuel tankTIPDo not set the fuel tank down on the installationsurface of the fuel pump. Be sure to lean the fueltank against a wall or the like.EAS26640REMOVING THE FUEL PUMP1. Install:• Fuel pumpTIP• Do not damage the installation surfaces of thefuel tank when installing the fuel pump.• Always use a new fuel pump gasket.• Install the fuel pump as shown in the illustra-tion.• Align the projection “a” on the fuel pump withthe slot in the fuel pump bracket.• Tighten the fuel pump bolts in the proper tight-ening sequence as shown.ET3P61018INSTALLING THE FUEL TANK1.
