Install:• Copper washers “1”• Rear brake hose “2”• Brake hose union bolt “3”WARNINGEWA13530Proper brake hose routing is essential to in-sure safe vehicle operation.NOTICEECA14160When installing the brake hose onto thebrake master cylinder, make sure the brakepipe touches the projection “a” as shown.TIPTurn the handlebar to the left and right to makesure the brake hose does not touch other parts(e.g., wire harness, cables, leads). Correct ifnecessary.3. Install:• Rear brake lever pivot bolt• Rear brake lever pivot nutNOTICEECA21650The rear brake lever pivot bolt and nut haveleft-hand threads. To tighten the pivot boltand nut, turn them counterclockwise.4. Install:• Rear brake lever cover “1”TIPFit the rear brake lever cover over the bolt headof the rear brake lever pivot bolt “a” and fit thehole in the cover over the end of the bolt “b”.5. Fill:• Brake master cylinder reservoir(with the specified amount of the specifiedbrake fluid)WARNINGEWA13540• Use only the designated brake fluid. Otherbrake fluids may cause the rubber seals todeteriorate, causing leakage and poorbrake performance.• Refill with the same type of brake fluid thatis already in the system. Mixing brake fluidsmay result in a harmful chemical reaction,leading to poor brake performance.• When refilling, be careful that water doesnot enter the brake master cylinder reser-voir. Water will significantly lower the boil-ing point of the brake fluid and could causevapor lock.NOTICEECA13540Brake fluid may damage painted surfacesand plastic parts.
