Measure: brake disc deflectionOut of specification Correct the brake discdeflection or replace the brake disc.Max. brake disc deflectionFront: 0.1 mmRear: 0.1 mma. Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand sothat the wheel is elevated.b. Before measuring the front brake discdeflection, turn the handlebars to the left orright to ensure that the front wheel is station-ary.c. Remove the brake caliper.d. Hold the dial gauge at a right angle againstthe brake disc surface.e. Measure the deflection 1.5 mm below theedge of the brake disc.3. Measure: brake disc thicknessMeasure the brake disc thickness at a fewdifferent locations.Out of specification Replace.Min. brake disc thicknessFront: 4.5 mmRear: 4.5 mm4. Adjust: brake disc deflectiona. Remove the brake disc.b. Rotate the brake disc by one bolt hole.c. Install the brake disc.Tighten the brake disc bolts in stages and in acrisscross pattern.
