3-28CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL CHKADJCAUTION:43 Nm (4.3 mkg)6. If the oil filter cartridge is also to be replaced,perform the following procedure.a. Remove the oil filter cartridge 1 with an oilfilter wrench 2 .Oil filter wrench90890-01426b. Lubricate the O-ring 3 of the new oil filtercartridge with a thin coat of engine oil.Make sure theat the O-ring 3 is positionedcorrectly in the groove of the oil filter car-tridge.c. Tighten the new oil filter cartridge to specifi-cation with an oil filter wrench.Oil filter cartridge17 Nm (1.7 mkg)7. Check: engine oil drain bolt washerDamage Replace.8. Install: engine oil drain bolt9. Fill: crankcase(with the specified amount of the recom-mended engine oil)QuantityTotal amount3.5 LWithout oil filter cartridge re-placement2.5 LWith oil filter cartridge replace-ment2.7 L10. Install: engine oil filler cap11. Start the engine, warm it up for several min-utes, and then turn it off.12. Check: engine(for engine oil leaks) |
