An externalaudio device such as an iPod,laptop computer, MP3 player, CDplayer, or cassette tape player, etc.can be connected to the auxiliaryinput jack for use as another audiosource.Drivers are encouraged to set upany auxiliary device while thevehicle is in P (Park). See DefensiveDriving on page 9‑3 for moreinformation on driver distraction.To use a portable audio player,connect a 3.5 mm (1/8 in) cable tothe radio's front auxiliary input jack.When a device is connected, pressAUDIO, then press AUDIO againuntil AUX is selected or press theAUX screen button to begin playingaudio from the device over thevehicle speakers.For optimal sound quality, increasethe portable audio device's volumeto the loudest level.It is always best to power theportable audio device through itsown battery while playing.The vehicle may have a rearentertainment system (RSE) with asecond and third row screen.
