7-2Automatic OperationThe system automatically controlsthe fan speed, air delivery, airconditioning and recirculation inorder to heat or cool the vehicle tothe desired temperature.When the indicator light is on, thesystem is in full automatic operation.If the air delivery mode or fan settingis manually adjusted, the autoindicator turns off and displays willshow the selected settings.To place the system in automaticmode do the following:1. Press AUTO.2. Set the temperature. Allow thesystem time to stabilize. Thenadjust the temperature asneeded for best comfort.English units can be changed tometric units through the DriverInformation Center (DIC). SeeVehicle Personalization onpage 4-43.Q/ R (Driver and PassengerTemperature Control): Thetemperature can be adjustedseparately for the driver and thepassenger. Press to increase ordecrease the temperature.ZONE: Press to link all climate zonesettings to the driver settings. TheZONE indicator light turns off. Whenthe passenger settings are adjusted,the ZONE indicator light is on.Manual OperationO (Power): Press to turn the climatecontrol system on or off.DC (Fan Control): Press to increaseor decrease the fan speed. Pressingeither button cancels automaticoperation and the system goes intomanual mode. Press AUTO to returnto automatic operation.HG (Air Delivery Mode Control):Press to change the direction of theairflow. The current mode appears inthe display screen. Changing themode cancels the automaticoperation and the system goes intomanual mode. Press AUTO to returnto automatic operation.To change the current mode, selectone of the following:Y (Vent): Air is directed to theinstrument panel outlets.\ (Bi-Level): Air is dividedbetween the instrument panel outletsand the floor outlets.C (Tri-Level): Air is dividedbetween the windshield, instrumentpanel, and floor outlets.[ (Floor): Air is directed to the flooroutlets.- (Defog): Clears the windows offog or moisture.
