After an airbag inflates,you will need some new parts forthe airbag system. If you do notget them, the airbag system willnot be there to help protect you inanother crash. A new system willinclude airbag modules andpossibly other parts. The servicemanual for your vehicle coversthe need to replace other parts.• The vehicle has a crash sensingand diagnostic module whichrecords information after a crash.See Vehicle Data Recording andPrivacy on page 12-3 and EventData Recorders on page 12-4.• Let only qualified technicians workon the airbag systems. Improperservice can mean that an airbagsystem will not work properly. Seeyour dealer/retailer for service.Airbag On-Off SwitchThe vehicle has an airbag on-offswitch that you can use to manuallyturn on or off the outboard frontpassenger frontal airbag.This switch should only be turned tothe off position if the person in theoutboard front passenger position isa member of a passenger risk groupidentified by the United Statesnational government as follows:Infant. An infant (less than 1 yearold) must ride in the front seatbecause:• My vehicle has no rear seat;• My vehicle has a rear seat toosmall to accommodate arear-facing infant seat; or• The infant has a medical conditionwhich, according to the infant'sphysician, makes it necessary forthe infant to ride in the front seatso that the driver can constantlymonitor the child's condition.Child age 1 to 12.
