Part No. 75861 Genie Z-60/34 4 - 57November 2003 Section 4 • Repair ProceduresREV A8-12Valve Adjustments, 4WDDrive ManifoldHow to Adjust the Hot Oil ShuttleRelief ValveThe pressure differential betweenthe charge pump relief valve(located in the drive pump) andthe hot oil shuttle relief valve(located in the drive manifold) isnecessary to return hot oil fromthe closed loop drive circuit to thehydraulic tank for cooling. Thispressure differential must bemaintained at 40 psi / 14.5 bar.The following procedure willrequire two people.1 Open the engine side turntable cover andconnect a 0 to 600 psi / 0 to 41 bar pressuregauge to the diagnostic nipple on the drivepump.2 Start the engine from the platform controls andallow the engine to run at high idle. Note thepressure reading on the pressure gauge.3 Turn the engine off and connect a0 to 600 psi / 0 to 41 bar pressure gauge to thediagnostic nipple located on the drive manifold.4 Start the engine from the platform controls anddrive the machine slowly in the forwarddirection. Note the pressure reading on thepressure gauge.5 Turn the engine off, and remove the hot oilshuttle relief valve cap (item BB). Adjust theinternal hex socket clockwise to increase thepressure or counterclockwise to decrease thepressure. Install the valve cap.6 Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the pressure readingon the guage is 40 psi / 2.8 bar less than thepressure reading at the pump.Hot oil shuttle relief valve specificationPressure 280 psi19.3 barMANIFOLDS
