Failureto perform the maintenance procedures can lead topoor engine performance and component damage.Required maintenance procedures and additionalengine information are available in theFord LRG-425 EFI Operator Handbook(Ford part number FPP 194-302).Ford LRG-425 EFI Operator HandbookGenie part number 77831To access the engine:1 Remove the two engine pivot plate retainingbolts. Swing the engine pivot plate out awayfrom the machine and secure.Crushing hazard. Failure to securethe engine pivot plate from movingcould result in death or seriousinjury.A-4Check for Fuel LeaksFailure to detect and correct fuel leaks will result inan unsafe condition. An explosion or fuel fire maycause death or serious injury.Explosion and fire hazard. Enginefuels are combustible. Inspect themachine in an open, well-ventilatedarea away from heaters, sparks,flames and lighted tobacco.Always have an approved fireextinguisher within easy reach.1 Open the shutoff valve on the liquid petroleumgas (LPG) tank by turning it counterclockwise(if equipped).2 Perform a visual inspection around the followingareas.Ford Models:· LPG tank, hoses and fittings, solenoid shutoffvalve, LPG regulator and throttle body.An LPG detector may benecessary to locate LPG leaks.· Fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel rail andfuel injectors, hoses and fittings and throttlebody.Deutz Models:· Fuel tank, hoses and fittings,fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injection pumps andfuel injectors.Explosion and fire hazard. If a fuelleak is discovered, keep anyadditional personnel from enteringthe area and do not operate themachine. Repair the leakimmediately.
