If you are instructed to return the power supply, follow all packaginginstructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied toyou.Replacing a hot-swap power supplyThe following notes describe the type of power supply that the server supportsand other information that you must consider when you install a power supply:v The server comes with one 675-watt hot-swap 12-volt output power supply. Theinput voltage is 110 V ac or 220 V ac auto-sensing.Note: You cannot mix 110 V ac and 220 V ac power supplies in the server, it isnot supported.v These power supplies are designed for parallel operation. In the event of apower-supply failure, the redundant power supply continues to power thesystem. The server supports a maximum of four power supplies.v The server can run fully configured with two power supplies. For redundancysupport, you must install the optional IBM Power Interposer for RedundantPower option kit.Statement 5CAUTION:The power control button on the device and the power switch on the powersupply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The devicealso might have more than one power cord.
