ERASING MEMORY CHANNELSAlthough it is possible to overwrite existing data in any ofthe memory channels with new data, at times you maywish to clear data from memory channels withoutentering new data. It’s convenient to clear channels nolonger used so you can identify channels that are free formemorizing new frequencies.1 Press [MR] to select Memory Recall.2 Select the desired memory channel using theENC/SQL control or numeric keys.3 Switch OFF the power.4 Press [MR]+ POWER ON.e The contents of the memory channel are erasedand transferred to the VFO. The VFO is selected.24CALL CHANNELThe Call channel can be used to store any frequencywithin your transceiver operating range that you wish tomake your main operating frequency. No matter whatmode the transceiver is in, the Call channel always canbe selected quickly. You may wish to dedicate the Callchannel on a group-wide basis as an emergency channelonly to be used for urgent communications.
