REVERSE FUNCTIONEach time [REV] is pressed, the receive frequency isswitched with the transmit frequency. When used whilemonitoring a repeater, it’s possible to check the signalStrength of a station accessing the repeater. If thestation’s signal is strong, it’s best to move to a simplexfrequency to continue the contact and free-up therepeater.e If reversal would place the receive frequency outsidethe receiver frequency range, an error beep soundswhen [REV] is pressed. No reversal occurs.e If the transmit frequency would go out of thetransmitter frequency range if [PTT] were pressed, then pressing [PTT] causes an error beep andReceive is selected.e Reverse cannot be activated while [PTT] is helddown.e Automatic Offset cannot be used while Reverse is ON.30TONE ACCESSEach time [T/CT] is pressed, the Tone and CTCSSfunctions are changed as follows:No indicator ————» T ———-» CT(ce eeeeeeresasdNo indicator : Subaudible tone not transmitted andtone squelch not functional.T : Subaudible tone transmitted.CT : Subaudible tone transmitted andtone squelch functional.Note:> "CT" will appear if [T/CT] is pressed when the TSU-8CTCSS module is not installed: however, CTCSS will notfunction.TH-22E/TH-42E only» When [T/CT] is pressed with 1750 Hz selected, 1750 Hztones are transmitted. "T" appears during this period.Releasing [T/CT] stops transmission and "T" goes OFF.> ff {T/CT] is pressed when any frequency other than1750 Hz is selected, Tone will switch ON and OFF.» When 1750 Hz is selected while Tone is OFF, pressing[T/CT] does not change the Tone/CTCSS status. When1750 Hz is selected while Tone or CTCSS is ON, ’T’ or"CT" goes OFF.
