CONTINUOUSTONECODED SQUELCHSYSTEM(CTCSS)TheCTCSSfeatureisavailableonlywhenaTSU-8CTCSSunitisinstalled.CTCSSfunctionsbyusingsubaudibletonesthataresuperimposedonatransmittedsignaltocontrolareceiver'ssquelch.Whenusedincombinationwiththenoisesquelch,CTCSSprovidesasimplemethodtoselectivelychoosewhichstationswillbeheard.
