PAGE~ OVERVIEWPage is available only on transceivers equipped with aDTMF keypad.Similar to DTSS, Page uses DTMF codes to address asingle station or a group of stations. Page is usefulwhen waiting to receive a call from a specific station. Acommon group Page code and individual codes shouldbe agreed on in advance. You can select codes fromthe range 000 to 999 inclusive.Unlike DTSS, Page offers the added benefit of identifyingwho called you. The calling station’s code appears onthe target transceiver’s display. If called with anindividual code, the individual caller code appears; ifcalled with a group code, the group code appears. Thischaracteristic of Page helps reduce the activity level on afrequency when operators are temporarily absent fromtheir stations. There is no longer a need for repeatedcalls when your target station is not listening. On returnto his or her operating position, their transceiver displaywill show your station code. They will know immediatelythat you called.PAGE CODE MEMORYThe transceiver has 8 Page code memories in total.A: Stores your station code.0 : Stores the calling station's code.
