AnIP address is required for all IP and TCP/IP communications with theinstrument. An IP Address consists of 4 decimal numbers separatedby periods. Each decimal number ranges from 0 through 255.Subnet Mask This value is used to enable the instrument to determine if a clientIP address is on the same local subnet. When a client IP address ison a different subnet, all packets must be sent to the DefaultGateway.DefaultGatewayThis value is the IP Address of the default gateway that allows theinstrument to communicate with systems that are not on the localsubnet, as determined by the subnet mask setting. A value of0.0.0.0 indicates that no default gateway is defined.NameSelect Name to configure the hostname of the instrument. If you want tochange the hostname, you should do so before you connect theinstrument to the network. Otherwise, the original hostname may becached in the network for up to several hours.Host name This field registers the supplied name with the selected namingservice. If the field is left blank, no name is registered. A hostnamemay contain upper and lower case letters, numbers and dashes(-).The maximum length is 15 characters.
