Using the Solar Array Simulator 4Series E4360 User’s Guide 59Select the Measurement Trigger SourceNOTE An immediate trigger command over the bus will generate animmediate trigger regardless of the trigger source.Unless you are using the TRIG:ACQ:IMM command to trigger themeasurement, select a trigger source from the following:Bus Selects GPIB device trigger, *TRG, or (Group Execute Trigger).Pin Selects a pin on the external port connector as the trigger source.The selected pin must be configured as a Trigger Input to be used asa trigger source (see Appendix B)TransientSelects the output channel’s transient system as the trigger source. specifies the channel.The trigger source can only be selected using the following SCPIcommands. The front panel only displays the trigger source that ispresently selected.Front Panel: SCPI Command:Select Acquisition\Control.Displays the trigger source.To select bus as the trigger sourcefor output 1:TRIG:ACQ:SOUR BUS,(@1)To select a pin as the triggersource:TRIG:ACQ:SOUR PIN,(@1)To select a transient channel as thetrigger source:TRIG:ACQ:SOUR TRAN,(@1)Initiate the Measurement Trigger SystemWhen the SAS is turned on, the trigger system is in the Idle state. In thisstate, the trigger system is disabled, ignoring all triggers. The INITiatecommands enable the measurement system to receive triggers. Toinitiate the measurement system, use the following SCPI command. Thefront panel only displays the trigger state.Front Panel: SCPI Command:Select Acquisition\Control.Displays the trigger state.To initiate the measurement triggersystem for all outputs:INIT:ACQ (@1,2)After a trigger is received and the measurement completes, the triggersystem returns to the Idle state. Thus, it will be necessary to initiate themeasurement system for the next triggered measurement.
