Troubleshooting 8-3LAMPSThe following describes lamps on the server and their indications. See Chapter 2 for each location.LAN ACCESS LampThe LAN ACCESS lamp is lit green when the server is connected to LAN. The lamp flashes whilethe server is accessed through the LAN (for packet transmission). The numeric next to the iconindicates the network port number on the rear panel.STATUS LampThe STATUS lamp stays lit in green when the server is in successful operation. When the STATUSlamp is unlit or lit/flashing in amber, it indicates that the server has failed.The following table lists indications of the STATUS lamp, descriptions, and actions to take.NOTES: If NEC ESMPRO is installed, you can confirm the cause of a failureby referring to the error log. To cycle power to the server, shut down the server from the OS toand reboot it, if available. If the shutdown from the OS is notavailable, disconnect and connect the power cord to reboot theserver.
