General Description 2-15Peripheral BaysThe system supports a variety of standard PC AT-compatible peripheral devices. The chassisincludes these peripheral bays: Three 5.25-inch file bays for installing 5.25-inch peripheral devices such as optional tapedrives. (An optical disk drive is factory-installed.) The 3.5-inch device bays for installing up to four SATA or SAS hard disk drives.The 2.5-inch device bays for installing up to eight SAS hard disk drives.AC LINK FeatureWhen the power cord of the server is connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit, theserver supports the power linkage feature that enables control over the power supply from the UPSto the server. The AC LINK feature can be enabled or disabled with Power Management Setup inthe Server menu of the BIOS setup utility, "SETUP." (See Chapter 4.)SecurityThe BIOS setup utility provides a number of security features to prevent unauthorized or accidentalaccess to the system. Once the security measures are enabled, access to the system is allowed onlyafter the user enters the correct password(s). For example: Set and enable an administrative password. Set and enable a user password Check the user account when entering the BIOS setup utility or booting the system.
