Chapter 10 Transformed ApplicationsSpecifying Outbound Proxy Settings130 Application Gateway Administration GuideSpecifying Outbound Proxy SettingsThe Application Gateway and Design Studio each have proxy settings thatyou will want to set if your network does not allow your computer accessto HTTP or HTTPS traffic.You will need to set up Application Gateway outbound proxy settings ifyour Application Gateway is behind a firewall or proxy server. The proxysettings in the Administration Tool are as follows:• Outbound Proxy Host and Port (the IP address and outbound listenerport number of an outbound proxy server)These settings specify a proxy server for HTTP (nonsecure requests).If your Application Gateway is behind a firewall or proxy server, theApplication Gateway will use these settings for HTTP requests.• Outbound Secure Proxy Host and Port (the host name or IP addressand outbound listener port number of an outbound secure proxyserver)These settings specify a secure proxy server for HTTPS (securerequests). The proxy server must support the CONNECT command.• Proxy Exclusion ListThis setting is a space-separated list of subnets that will not use thedefined proxy server (such as, 10.0.16.192, 10.0.16.193). You can usestandard regular expression wildcard characters in this setting (suchas 10.0.16.*).If your Application Gateway is configured to use a proxy server, youmust include the Application Gateway IP address in this list in orderfor Design Studio users to preview transformed pages.To specify proxy settings, go to the Network > Proxies page of theApplication Gateway Administration Tool.
