Chapter 3 Network Connection ConfigurationSpecifying the Default URL38 Application Gateway Administration GuideMaintaining a ClusterYou must update or synchronize a cluster as follows:• If the IP address of an Application Gateway changes, you must updatethe Network > Cluster page to reflect the change.• When you add a member to an existing cluster, you mustre-synchronize the cluster so that each Application Gateway will beaware of the new member.• When you make IP/DN mapping changes, add phones, or removephones, you must re-synchronize the cluster so that each ApplicationGateway will have the updated information.Specifying the Default URLThe default URL is the URL that the Application Gateway will send if anIP phone attempts to access the Application Gateway directly. Forexample, an IP phone might be configured to access the ApplicationGateway for its home page or as the menu displayed when the userpresses a defined soft key.Note For information on how to set up IP phones to access the ApplicationGateway, see “Enabling Communication between the Phones andApplication Gateway,” page 44.You can choose the following for the Default URL setting:• Voice Office MenuThis option appears only if you license Voice Office applications.When those applications are licensed, the Default URL isautomatically set to Voice Office Menu.When the Default URL is set to Voice Office Menu and an IP phoneuser connects to the Application Gateway, the IP phone will displaythe licensed list of applications available to the user, along with thesubmenu for the applications configured in Design Studio. If you donot want the submenu to appear, go to the Operation > Voice Office >Menu page and deselect the Add Application Menu check box.
