For Example: with European sizes, it detects whether thewidth is A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, 500 mm, or 700 mm. The Océ 9600 system usesa memory table that contains all standard width - standard length combinationsto predict the length of the original. The scanner also measures the real lengthof each original while it is transferred through the scanner.Note: If you are copying thick, thin or damaged originals or originals in acarrier sheet, we recommend that you use the output at the rear side of thescanner to ensure correct delivery (see ‘Delivering originals after scanning’on page 52).
