They will ensure thatservice procedures and replacement parts used will not affect performance. Some products generate high voltages, so never handle the cables/connectors whenpower is being supplied to the equipment.EMCWhen powered up, all electrical equipment produces electromagnetic fields. Thesecan cause nearby electrical equipment to interact, with a possible adverse effect onoperation. To minimize these effects and enable best possible performance from yourRaymarine equipment, guidelines are given in the installation instructions.Always report any EMC-related problem to your nearest Raymarine dealer. We usesuch information to improve our quality standards. In some installations, it may not be possible to prevent the equipment from beingaffected by external influences. In general this will not damage the equipment but itcan lead to spurious resetting action, or momentarily may result in faulty operation.4.2 MaintenanceAs the ST70+ displays and keypads are sealed units and do NOT contain any user-serviceable parts, user maintenance is limited to the following routine tasks:• Periodic cleaning of ST70+ products in accordance with theCleaning proceduresbelow.• Ensuring all cable connectors are securely connected.• Examining the products and cables for signs of wear or damage, and replacementof damaged components. If you attempt to dismantle any product, you will invalidate the warranty.
