5 Operation5.4.6 Positioning Near Signal5-445.4.6 Positioning Near SignalThe host controller receives the positioning near signal prior to confirming the positioning-completed signal, and performs the following operating sequence after positioning has been completed to shorten the timerequired for operation. This signal is generally used in combination with the positioning completed output signal. The output terminal must be allocated with Pn510 in order to use Positioning Near signal. Refer to 3.3.2 Output SignalAllocations for details.• The positioning near (/NEAR) signal is output when the difference (error) between the number of referencepulses output by the host controller and the travel distance of the servomotor is less than the value set in thisparameter.Note: Normally, the setting should be larger than that for the positioning completed width (Pn522).Type SignalNameConnectorPin Number Setting MeaningOutput /NEAR Must be allocatedON (close) The servomotor has reached a point near topositioning completed.OFF (open) The servomotor has not reached a point nearto positioning completed.Pn524NEAR Signal Width ClassificationSetting Range Setting Unit Factory Setting When Enabled1 to 1073741824(230) Reference unit 1073741824 Immediately SetupPositionSpeedReference ServomotorspeedTimeTimeTime ON (close) is effective.ON (close) is effective.TimeError pulse/NEAR/COINPn524 Pn5220
