CONTROL SYSTEM E(3) Slowly turn the flywheel magnet clock-wise and stop it when the piston is atTDC.(4) Set the dial gauge to “zero”.(5) Turn the flywheel magnet clockwiseuntil the dial gauge indicates theproper specification.NOTE:Turn the flywheel magnet clockwise to locateBTDC.(6) Align the timing plate 6 with thespecified mark on the flywheelmagnet.(7) Secure the timing plate 6.3. Adjust:• Ignition timing (full advance)Adjusting steps:(1) Turn the flywheel magnet to clockwiseand align the timing plate 6 andspecified mark on the flywheelmagnet.(2) Set the magneto control lever 2 to thefull advance position, it contacts thefull advance stopper 4.(3) Adjust the stopper screw 7 so that themark a on the flywheel magnet alignswith the mark b on the baseassembly.4.
