404 V6100 and V7122 User GuideEditing Client ParametersTo edit the parameters for an existing client:1 Select the client that you wish to edit by clicking on the line in the window for that client.2 Parameters for that client display in the parameter fields on the right side of the window.3 Make the changes required for each parameter.4 Click Apply to save the changes, or click Apply & Reset to save the changes and senda reset message to that gateway to immediately implement the settings.To use Apply & Reset you must enable ARP Manipulation in the Preferenceswindow. Also, you must have administrator privileges for the computer you areusing.Testing the ClientThere should only be one BootP utility supporting any particular client MAC active on thenetwork at any time.To check if other BootP utilities support this client:1 Select the client that you wish to test by clicking on the client name in the main area ofthe Client Configuration Window.2 Click the Test Selected Client button3 Examine the Log Window on the Main Application Screen. If there is another BootP utilitythat supports this client MAC, there is a response indicated from that utility showing thestatus Listed At along with the IP address of that utility.4 If there is another utility responding to this client, you must remove that client from eitherthis utility or the other one.Setting Client ParametersClient parameters are listed on the right side of the Client Configuration Window. Client MAC: The Client MAC is used by BootP to identify the VoIP gateway. The MACaddress for the VoIP gateway is printed on a label located on the VoIP gatewayhardware. Enter the Ethernet MAC address for the VoIP gateway in this field. Click thebox to the right of this field to enable this particular client in the BootP tool (if the client isdisabled, no replies are sent to BootP requests).When the MAC address of an existing client is edited, a new client is added, withthe same parameters as the previous client.
