CSX7000 29CSX7000 CABLINGThe CSX7000 Rack or CabinetPOWER SUPPLY CONNECTIONSIn the CSX7000 cluster, each subsystem has its own dual power supply, and each must beconnected to an AC power source. Like the single CSX7000, be sure to install the strain relief bar(provided with each dual power cord pair) on each subsystem. Then plug the power cords into PS1and PS2 respectively. For the utmost protection, connect each of the two supplies (coming from PS1and PS2) to a different AC power source. Refer to previous illustration.T HE CSX7000 R ACK OR C ABINETThe CSX7000s are standard 19" RETMA units and may be mounted into any cabinet thataccommodates 19" RETMA devices. (See dimensions on following illustration). To install platformsinto the rack or cabinet, follow this procedure:1. Be sure that the CSX7000s are set up correctly (i.e., processor modules and interface modulesproperly installed). If using the EMS module, Set the IES addresses appropriately on allplatforms. If you do not set the IES addresses now, you will need to slide the platform out afterinstallation to set this address.2. Remove the middle and rear sliding rails from the sides of the platform.3. With the middle rails still inserted into the rear rails, mount them into the cabinet using the fourbrackets provided.4. Slide the CSX7000 on the front rails into the mounted middle rails.5. Make back panel connections.6. When installation is complete, we suggest you bolt the rack to the floor.CAUTION:Do not leave the platform unattended while it is at full extension (slid out/pulled out ofthe rack or cabinet). The weight of the platform may cause the rack/cabinet to tip.Note: CSX7000 dimensions are larger than standard rack-mount PCs.
