CSX7000 41M ONITORING SYSTEMSAdministration through BCVisionYou will be presented with a warning prompt, asking you to Acknowledge or Disable Notification. Toenable the feature, select Acknowledge. This response closes the warning screen and enables thesystem to continue with alarm notification whenever an alarm condition occurs.To disable the feature, select Disable Notification. This response closes the warning screen,displays the Alarms Disabled message at the bottom of the screen, and prevents further alarmnotifications.Set Refresh RateThe refresh rate determines how often each IES is polled by the BC Supervisor over the datahighway, and how often the BCVision display is refreshed.To modify the refresh rate, select Set Refresh Rate from the Supervisor Menu. The rate may rangefrom 1 to 60 seconds. The default is two seconds.Set SNMP Status Trap RateSNMP is an option. If you have SNMP, you may set the status trap rate through this selection.This status trap rate is initially set to zero.FUNCTIONS M ENUThe options available from the Functions Menu include:• Set Poll Interval• Set Reboot Timeout• Set Temperature Threshold• Set Date and Time• View IES Detail• View BC Processors• Setup• Scan Data Highway• Mark AllThe first three menu items (Set Poll Interval, Set Reboot Timeout, and Set Temperature Threshold)will apply to each marked IES. (See page 38). If no IES is marked, the function will apply to thecurrently highlighted IES.Press to exit the menu.Set Poll IntervalTo monitor status, the IES is constantly polling each processor module in the subsystem. Thedefault poll interval is one second.If an application is running on a processor module which keeps interrupts disabled for more thanone second, the IES detects a processor failure. EMS will automatically reset the processor (whichis not recommended), or display Inactive on the status screen.
