CSX7000 37M ONITORING SYSTEMSAdministration through BCVisionA DMINISTRATION THROUGH BCV ISIONBCVision provides the user interface for the CSX7000’s EMS module. In order to view the statusscreens provided by BCVision, the VIDEO SELECT switch on the front panel of your primaryCSX7000 must be enabled, and the BC Supervisor group must be selected. Once enabled andproperly selected, the IES Status Screen is displayed on the monitor.IES S TATUS S CREENThe first status screen that is displayed is the IES Status Screen. It provides general information onthe various platforms (subsystems) which comprise the CSX7000 cluster. It should appear similarto the following:The status screen is divided into four parts:• The first part (or line, in this case) identifies the program (BCVision) and status screen (IESModules).• The second part provides four menu operations: File, Supervisor, Functions, and Help.• The third part provides general information on conditions within the platforms.• The fourth part displays a quick reference of available keystroke operations - in this case, Help,Mark and Exit.G ENERAL INFORMATION D ISPLAYThe general information on conditions within the platforms includes: the subsystem in which theIES is installed, the data highway ID of each IES, the current voltages of each subsystem, and adescription associated with each IES.Subsystem: This column identifies each CSX7000 in the cluster. The CSX7000 is based upon thesubsystem ERS/FT II, and will be identified as such in this column.ID: This column identifies the platform or subsystem by IES address. These addresses aredetermined by a hardware switch setting. (Refer to page 32 for details.) These Id numbers must beunique.Temperature: The temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius and reflects the temperature of theplatform in which the IES is located. (For a convenient conversion chart, refer to the Help Menu.)Voltages: The +12, -12, +5, and -5 voltages are displayed. These values reflect the voltage levels onthe bus in the platform or subsystem containing the IES.BCVision - IES ModulesFile Supervisor Functions HelpSubsystem ID °C +5v -5v +12v -12v DescriptionERS/FT IIERS/FT IIERS/FT IIF1-Help | Space - Mark | F3 or Alt+F4 - Exit |
