Scheduling Service AppointmentsWhen your vehicle requires warranty service,you should contact your dealer and requestan appointment. By scheduling a serviceappointment and advising your service consultantof your transportation needs, your dealer canhelp minimize your inconvenience.If your vehicle cannot be scheduled into theservice department immediately, keep driving ituntil it can be scheduled for service, unless,of course, the problem is safety-related. If it is,please call your dealership, let them know this, andask for instructions.If the dealer requests that you simply drop thevehicle off for service, you are urged to do so asearly in the work day as possible to allow forthe same day repair.Transportation OptionsWarranty service can generally be completedwhile you wait. However, if you are unable to wait,GM helps to minimize your inconvenience byproviding several transportation options.Depending on the circumstances, your dealer canoffer you one of the following:Shuttle ServiceParticipating dealers can provide you with shuttleservice to get you to your destination withminimal interruption of your daily schedule.This includes one-way or round trip shuttle serviceto a destination up to 10 miles (16 km) from thedealership.Public Transportation or FuelReimbursementIf your vehicle requires warranty repairs,reimbursement of public transportation expensesmay be available, for up to a maximum of five days.In addition, should you arrange transportationthrough a friend or relative, reimbursement forreasonable fuel expenses may be available, up to afive-day maximum. Claim amounts should reflectactual costs and be supported by original receipts.482
