Getting Started Connections Settings Playback Remote ControlMulti-zone Information Troubleshooting SpecificationsConnectionsENGLISH$'- '3."*/;0/&;0/&;0/&- 3- 34- 43Speaker ConnectionsNOTEConnect so that the speaker cable core wires do not protrude fromthe speaker terminal. The protection circuit may be activated if thecore wires touch the rear panel or if the + and – sides touch eachother (v“Protection Circuit”).Never touch the speaker terminals while the power supply isconnected. Doing so could result in electric shock.••1 Peel off about 10 mm of sheathing fromthe tip of the speaker cable, then eithertwist the core wire tightly or terminateit.2 Turn the speaker terminalcounterclockwise to loosen it.Protection CircuitIf the core wires touch the rear panel and the screws etc., or the ±sides touch each other, the protection circuit will be activated and thepower indicator will flash red at intervals of 0.5 secs.If the protection circuit is activated, the speaker output is isolated, andthe power supply goes to the standby state. If the power supply isturned off, after the power supply cord is withdrawn, please confirmthat speaker cable and input cable are connected.Also, if replaying large sound levels by using a speaker having animpedance less than that specified (eg, 4 Ω/ohms), the temperaturewill rise, and the protection circuit might be activated. The powersupply will go into the standby state, and the power indicator will flashred at 2 second intervals.In this case, please switch off the power supply, and wait until theAVR-4810 has cooled down, and the surrounding ventilation is good.Even if there are no problems with the surrounding ventilation andconnections, in the event of the protection circuit becoming activated,due to thinking that the AVR-4810 has failed, please contact DENONService center after switching off.Connecting the Speaker CablesCarefully check the left (L) and right (R) channels and + (red) and – (black) polarities on the speakers being connected to the AVR-4810, and besure to interconnect the channels and polarities correctly.NOTEConnect so that the speaker cable core wires do not protrude fromthe speaker terminal. The protection circuit may be activated if thecore wires touch the rear panel or if the + and – sides touch eachother (v“Protection Circuit”).Never touch the speaker terminals while the power supply isconnected. Doing so could result in electric shock.••Use speakers where one speaker has an impedance of 6 ~ 16 Ω/ohms. When using a speaker with impedance of 6 Ω/ohms to 8 Ω/ohms, make sure to set the “Speaker Impedance” in the GUI menu to“6 Ω/ohms” (vpage 42).When the “Assign Mode” is set to “ALL Z2” or “ALL Z2+Z3”, only multi-zone audio is output from the AVR-4810 speaker terminals.For output in the MAIN ZONE, connect the output from the AVR-4810 pre-out terminal to an external power amp.3 Insert the speaker cable’s core wire tothe hilt into the speaker terminal.4 Turn the speaker terminal clockwise totighten it.AVR-4810Power amplifier |
