Select CONTROL, START BATTERY TEST, then CANCEL.Replacing the Electronics ModuleYou can easily replace the electronics module without turning the UPS off ordisconnecting the load. Battery mode is not available and your equipment is notprotected; however, the utility power continues to be filtered passively by the UPS.If you prefer to remove input power to change the electronics module, see “IndividualUPS Shutdown” on page 72.NOTE DO NOT DISCONNECT the electronics module while the UPS is in Battery mode.To replace the electronics module:1. Standalone UPS configurations only. Transfer the UPS to Bypass mode. Continue tostep 3.Parallel for capacity configurations only. Transfer the UPS to Bypass mode. TheCAN bus remains energized.Parallel for redundancy configurations only. No mode transfer is necessary. If theUPS is operating in a parallel for redundancy configuration when its electronicsmodule is removed, the load automatically transfers to the remaining UPSs. TheCAN bus remains energized.NOTE Disconnecting the control panel from the electronics module automatically transfers the UPS toBypass mode. However, transferring the UPS to Bypass mode manually BEFORE disconnecting the controlpanel provides extra protection to the electronics module and is recommended.2. Parallel configurations only. Disconnect the redundant signal cable(s) from theUPS. For the location of the redundant signal cable, see Figure 36 on page 47.3. Remove the UPS front cover and the electronics module and set them aside (seeFigure 59):To remove the UPS front cover, grasp the fingergrips on both sides of the cover andpull the cover forward firmly. Unplug the LCD cable connecting the back of thecontrol panel to the electronics module.To remove the electronics module, remove the electronics module locking screw atthe top left of the electronics module and retain. Grasp the ring handle at themiddle of the module and pull the module slowly out of the cabinet. Pull firmly tounseat the connectors. Use two hands to support the module.NOTE Treat the electronics module with care to avoid damaging the fans, connectors, or internal circuitry.
