Acyclical data communication6103/11 MN05013002Z-ENLater adding of SmartWire-DT slavesIf you are not sure of the final SmartWire-DT topology andmay wish to add SmartWire-DT slaves at a later time, addinga placeholder (dummy module) in the appropriate position inthe SmartWire-DT network is recommended. This is alsouseful in STEP 7 since the HW Config tool does not allow theadding of stations between occupied module locations.X Position the permanent SmartWire-DT slaves in the correctorder and add the placeholder (reserved place for expan-sion) at the required position.A wildcard reserves a SmartWire-DT slave address for Smart-Wire-DT network slave to be added later.X Save the project and then transfer it to the PLC. Switch thePLC to RUN mode. After the DP configuration is received from the PLC, theSmartWire-DT gateway addresses the slaves automaticallytaking the placeholder into account.Acyclical data communica-tionSmartWire-DT slaves such as the PKE-SWD-32 module forthe electronic motor-protective circuit-breaker also supplyacyclical data in addition to the cyclical data. The functionblocks SFB52 RDREC (read record) and SFB53 WRREC (writerecord) are used in STEP 7 for reading and writing acyclicaldata. The reference to the required slave is implemented withthese function blocks via the parameters ID and Index. The input address of the SmartWire-DT slave with whichcommunication is to be established is set at the parameterID. The Index parameter addresses the V1 object. The firstobject is assigned number 1, the second 2 etc. On the Smart-Wire-DT slave PKE-SWD-32, the object 1 supplies the currentvalue I rel.h Refer to the STEP 7 documentation for further informationon handling these function blocks.
