Overview90 Handbook|Relay Faxing! Relay Faxing is different from group faxing. In GroupFaxing, a fax is sent to a preprogrammed group oflocations directly from the fax machine. At this writing, the OKIFAX 2600 is the only Oki faxmachine that can function as a relay key station. What is Relay Faxing?Relay faxing allows one fax machine to send a document toanother fax machine, which then re-sends the document to anumber of other locations. Two different fax machines areinvolved in transmitting a relay fax: the relay initiatingstation and the relay key station (hub). What is an example of Relay Faxing? Imagine that you needto send a fax to a number of locations in another area code. With Relay Faxing, you (the relay initiating station) sendone fax (transmission) long distance to one fax (the relay keystation). The relay key station then sends the fax to all of theother faxes/locations in the area code, at local rates.
