44Chapter 2 Draft FontsDraft FontsThe draft fonts, when issued inside a pass, select the font used for theduration of that pass only. When used outside a pass, they select the fontused in all non-graphics printing.Command ^@CnnArguments^@C Draft Font Command.nn One of the draft font numbers listed below:05 = double high (0.2 inch), 7.5 CPI.10 = 10 CPI12 = 12 CPI13 = 13.3 CPI15 = 15 CPI17 = 17.1 CPIFont/Quality SpeedCode V is capable of printing most of the Code V fonts at three differentspeeds and qualities. The slowest print speed produces the highest qualityfonts, while the fastest print speed produces the lowest quality fonts. A FontQuality/Speed Command may be sent either inside or outside of a pass andremains in effect until another Font Quality/Speed Command is issued orGraphics Mode is exited.These commands only affect the Code V Draft Font at 12, 13.3, 15, and 17.1CPI and the Code V NLQ Font at 10, 12, 13.3, and 17.1 CPI.The three Code V Font Quality/Speed commands are: High-Quality Font, Full-Space Font, and Half-Space Font.High Quality Font ModeSelects slow-speed, high quality fonts. The DPI of the font selected by a CodeV Font Command depends upon the selected font and may cause the paperto back up and the shuttle to change speed. Fonts printed in this mode arepositioned on character cell boundaries.Command ^~FQFull Space Font ModeSelects 120 DPI, medium speed, medium quality fonts. The paper will notback up to print any Code V font (excluding OCR) when ^~FF is selected.This is the default.Command ^~FF
