Enter the remote printer name when you set up yourWindows NT 4.0/2000/2003 printer, as the “Name of printer or Print queue on that(lpd host) server” in the Add LPR Compatible Printer dialog box.For the Windows 2000/XP/2003 printer driver, enter the remote printer name forQueue Name under LPR Settings in the Configure Standard TCP/IP Port Monitordialog box.Setting up the Fiery EX2101 on TCP/IP networksEvery machine (host) on a TCP/IP network, including the Fiery EX2101, must have aunique 32-bit internet address (IP address). Contact your network administrator toobtain an address for the Fiery EX2101. Workstations on a TCP/IP network can printdirectly to the Fiery EX2101 as a remote printer, or can print to aWindows NT 4.0/2000/2003 server or UNIX workstation acting as a print server.Since the Fiery EX2101 spools jobs and acts as a print server, there is no advantage inplacing another print server between a workstation and the Fiery EX2101. If youchoose to do so, however, there is no difference in setup except that a client machinedoes not have its own spooling area.
