33-8 Preparing for Fiery EX2101 SetupAbout SetupSetup configures the Fiery EX2101 to communicate with other devices and manageprint jobs. You must perform Setup the first time you turn on the Fiery EX2101 afternew system software is loaded. An initial Setup using default settings is adequate forallowing users to print to the Fiery EX2101 and use the Fiery WebTools. When yournetwork or user printing environment changes, you can change Setup optionsaccordingly.The first time you perform Setup, you must use the Fiery EX2101 Control Panel.Configure, at a minimum, Server Setup, Network Setup, and Printer Setup, in thatsequence. After the initial Setup, you can change Setup options from the Control Panel(see “Fiery EX2101 Control Panel” on page 4-3) or Command WorkStation (see“Accessing Setup” on page 5-1). You can set most Setup options using these methods.N OTE : Configuring and monitoring the Windows XP functions on the Fiery EX2101require the FACI. For more information, contact your authorized service/supporttechnician.N OTE : The FACI is available as an option.If you do not configure the remaining Setups, the Fiery EX2101 uses default settings.You need to make settings appropriate for the printing environment at your site.Local Setup from the Fiery EX2101You can also perform Setup locally at the Fiery EX2101, using Setup from FieryBar.Some of the settings you specify in Setup configure the Server process (such as printjob defaults), while some configure the Windows XP Workstation environment (suchas system date and time).
