3.4 Input and Output Power Wiring ConnectionsThe input disconnect switch is located in the upper right hand side of the bypass. The three-phase input power connection ismade to the input terminals of the disconnect. Refer to Figure 3.9 for a representative example. The Overload Relay (OLR) is mounted to the contactor assembly or back panel (depending on rating), just above the bypasscontactor. The Z1000 Bypass three-phase output power connection to the motor is made to the output terminals of the OverloadRelay.CEAIBFGHDA – Drive output contactor K2B – Motor overload relayC – Motor connectionsD – Input power terminalsE – Ground screwF – A2 bypass control boardG – 5 V bypass power supply boardH – 120 V control transformerI – Bypass contactor K3Figure 3.9 Bypass Circuit Componentsu Factory Recommended Branch Circuit ProtectionWARNING! Fire Hazard. Branch Circuit protection is required to be installed according to applicable local codes and the requirements listedon the Z1000 Bypass nameplate. Failure to comply could result in fire and damage to the bypass and drive or injury to personnel. The Z1000Bypass is suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering not more than 100,000 RMS symmetrical amperes, 208 Vac and 480 Vac withthe circuit breaker option or when protected by class J or class L fuses as specified on the Z1000 Bypass nameplate.Yaskawa recommends installing branch circuit protection according to maintain compliance with UL508C. Semiconductorprotective type fuses are preferred. Alternate branch circuit protection devices are also listed in this manual.3.4 Input and Output Power Wiring ConnectionsYASKAWA ELECTRIC SIEP YAIZ1B 01E YASKAWA AC Drive – Z1000 Bypass Technical Manual 613 Electrical Installation
