Displaying and Maintaining Track Object(s) 2211n ■ The Track object to be associated with the policy routing can be a nonexistentone. After you use the track command to create the Track object, theassociation takes effect.■ For details of policy routing configuration, refer to “Configuring IP UnicastPolicy Routing” on page 639.Configure Track-BackupCenter CollaborationYou can associate an interface with a Track object, so that the interface can detectthe status of other interfaces based on that of the Track object and change itsbackup status accordingly.■ If the status of the Track object is positive, then the link where the detectedinterface resides works normally, and the detecting interface serves as thebackup interface to backup the detected interface.■ If the status of the Track object is negative, then the link where the detectedinterface resides failed, and the detecting interface turns to the main interfaceto take on data transmission.■ During the configuration, if the Track object is in the invalid state, it indicatesthat the Track object association does not take effect yet; each interface keepsits original forwarding state. After the configuration, if the status of the Trackobject turns to invalid, the detecting interface becomes the main interface.Follow these steps to configure the Track-backup center collaborationn ■ You can associate an interface with only one Track object. If you execute thestandby track command repeatedly, the latter configuration overwrites theformer.■ The Track object to be associated with the interface can be a nonexistent one. After you use the track command to create the Track object, the associationtakes effect.■ Refer to “Backup Center Configuration” on page 1961 for details of thebackup center.Displaying andMaintaining TrackObject(s)To do...
