IMA-E1/T1 Interface Configuration 73The configuration of IMA-E1/T1 includes two parts: physical level parameters ofATM E1/T1 interfaces and IMA features. If no IMA group is configured fortransmitting ATM cell streams, the cells are distributed directly over E1/T1 links. You can, however, assign multiple IMA-E1/T1 interfaces to an IMA group to form ahigher-speed IMA interface link for ATM cell transmission. For both IMA groups and the E1/T1 links outside the groups, you can create PVCs,specify service types, and configure the related parameters. For more information(including the configuration of PVCs), refer to “ATM Configuration” on page 127.ATM E1/T1 interface configuration includes interface configuration and IMA groupconfiguration.Configuring an ATME1/T1 InterfaceFollow these steps to configure parameters for an ATM E1/T1 interface:n E1 configurations are supported on the IMA (E1) interface module and T1configurations on the IMA (T1) interface module. The line coding formats for IMA-E1 interfaces and IMA-T1 interfaces are fixed tohigh density bipolar of order 3 (HDB3) and bipolar with 8-zero substitution (B8ZS).They are not configurable.Configuring an IMAGroupFollow these steps to configure an IMA group:To do...
