Physical Drive Information11.4.3.1 The SCSI Parameter/InitializeThe SCSI parameters configure a physical drive (especially its performance).Note: Refer to the accompanying Hardware Guide to determine which of the followingparameters are configurable.By changing the SCSI parameters, you can• Enable or Disable Synchronous Transfer• Enable or Disable the Domain Validation (only if ICP RAID controller has Ultra160SCSI channels)• Set the Synchronous Transfer Rate• Enable or Disable the Disconnect Feature• Enable or Disable the Tagged Queues• Change the Settings of the Hard Disk Read and Write CacheWarning: By changing these parameters on a new hard disk or a hard disk which has beenconnected to a non-compatible RAID controller, the hard disk will be initialized andall data on the hard disk will be lost.You can access the change SCSI Parameters / Initialize menu by clicking the right mousebutton on a physical drive in the Physical Drives Windows (View > PhysicalConfiguration).
