Cluster AdministrationNo changes or modifications can be made on this host drive. If you loaded the ICP RAIDNavigator on the other node, you would see the reverse situation. The RAID 5 array driveicon would stand alone, showing that this host drive belongs to the other node, and theRAID1 host drive would be displayed with all its components, allowing configurationchanges to these components.Figure A-9. Logical ConfigurationA.2 PCI Hot Plug OverviewThe PCI Hot Plug (PCI HP) specification defines the requirements for adapter cards, system platforms, and system software to enable the insertion and removal of PCI adaptercards without turning off the platform or rebooting the operating system. The process mayinclude stopping a portion of the software or controlling the power cycle of a portion ofthe hardware such as, in this case, a PCI slot. This industry standard offers customershigher system availability by helping to eliminate both planned and unplanneddowntimes.
