DO NOT touch any key if prompted to boot from the CD-ROM. Letthe computer boot to the hard drive to continue the installation.13. When the computer gets to the first blue setup screen, immediately press the F6 key toload the RAID drivers for Windows XP Professional. After having pressed F6, be sureNOT to press F2 when prompted.14. When prompted press S and insert the ICP RAID controller Installation diskette andpress Enter indicate diskette is ready then press Enter again to select RAID Controller.When indicated, press Enter a third to continue Windows XP installation.15. Follow on-screen prompts to complete the text-based portion of the installation and anauto-reboot will occur to continue the GUI portion of the Windows XP Professionalinstallation. DO NOT touch any key if prompted to boot from the CD-ROM. Let thecomputer boot to the hard drive to continue the installation.16. During the GUI portion of setup, you may be prompted to enter the path again to theraidsrc.sys driver. If so, enter a:\winnt\x86\raidsrc.sys (where a: is your drive letter) toload the driver again from the floppy disk.17. When the GUI portion of setup completes the computer will auto-reboot. If it does notauto-reboot, manually reboot the computer to continue the installation.18. Go to Section 4.1.5 to complete the installation.4.1.5 Installation to an Existing OSThis section covers all installations of the ICP RAID controller into computers withexisting (previously installed) operating systems.Ensure that you have completed the steps described in Chapter 2, “Getting Started,”before continuing with the installation of the ICP RAID controller to an existing OS.4.1.5.1 Minimum Requirements• Fully functional OS already installed and running on the computer.• Administrative level privilege on the computer.• Hard Disk Space: 9 MB Minimum• Driver installation diskette• Installed ICP RAID controller.
