Depending on the level of theHUD on the vehicle, your HUD may work like either ofthe following:. The HUD speedometer will turn red when thevehicle speed exceeds the speed alert limit.When the vehicle speed is at or below the alertlimit and above the posted speed or advisoryspeed, the speedometer turns yellow. If the SpeedAlert setting in the DIC is set to AT LIMIT, thespeedometer will not turn yellow. When the vehiclespeed is at or below the posted speed or advisoryspeed, the speedometer remains green.. The HUD speedometer will turn yellow when thevehicle speed exceeds the speed alert limit. Whenthe vehicle speed is at or below the alert limit, thespeedometer remains green.PEDAL APPLIED ACC OVERRIDEWhen the PEDAL APPLIED ACC OVERRIDE messagedisplays, the accelerator pedal is being pressed andthe Adaptive Cruise Control is overridden and cannotautomatically apply the brakes. Once the acceleratorpedal is released, the Adaptive Cruise Control willreturn to normal operation and be able to apply thebrakes, if needed.An Adaptive Cruise Control active symbol, alert symbolor vehicle ahead symbol may also appear. SeeAdaptive Cruise Control on page 4‑15 for moreinformation.Care of the HUDClean the inside of the windshield as needed to removeany dirt or film that reduces the sharpness or clarity ofthe HUD display.To clean the HUD, spray household glass cleaner on asoft, clean cloth. Wipe the HUD lens gently, then dry.Notice: When cleaning, be careful not to scratch theHUD or camera lenses. Do not sprayglass cleanerdirectly on the HUD lens because the cleaner couldleak inside the unitand cause damage.4-41
