Theradio goes to the first preset station, plays forfive seconds, then goes to the next preset station.2. Press and release © or ¨ to stop scanning.A LOCAL/DISTANT Selection: The radio can be setto search for local stations or stations that are furtheraway for a larger selection.To select between LOCAL or DISTANT:1. Press w to enter the main menu.2. Turn w until SEEK LOCAL or SEEK DISTANTdisplays.3. Press w to select either LOCAL or DISTANT.4. Press F6 to exit the display. To return to theoriginal display, repeatedly press F6 or wait for thedisplay to time out.To search for stations, press © or ¨. If the system is setto LOCAL, SEEK displays and seeks to stations onlywith strong signals. If the system is set to DISTANT,D-SEEK displays and seeks to stations with weak andstrong signals.This feature does not function with the XM™ radiostations.4 (Information): Press while in XM mode to retrievethree different categories of information related to thecurrent song or channel: Artist, Song Title, Category orPTY. To view this information:1. Press w to enter the main menu.2. Turn w until INFO displays.3. Press w to select INFO. The display changes toshow the additional XM information.4.
