Black plate (76,1)Cadillac STS Owner Manual - 2011DIC Warnings and MessagesMessages are displayed on the DIC to notify the driverthat the status of the vehicle has changed and thatsome action may be needed by the driver to correct thecondition. Multiple messages may appear one afteranother.The text messages are the same for both the baseaudio and Navigation systems unless otherwiseindicated.Some messages may not require immediate action, butyou can press the reset button to acknowledge that youreceived the messages and to clear them from thedisplay.Some messages cannot be cleared from the DICdisplay because they are more urgent. Thesemessages require action before they can be cleared.Take any messages that appear on the displayseriously and remember that clearing the messageswill only make the messages disappear, not correct theproblem.The following are the possible messages that can bedisplayed and some information about them.ADVISORY: XXX MPH (KM/H)This message displays when the Speed Alert has beenturned on through the DIC Information Menu and thevehicle is at or above the advised speed.
