Air is directed to thewindshield, side windows, and flooroutlets.0 (Defrost): Press the 0 buttonto turn on or off. This clears thewindshield of fog or frost morequickly. Air is directed to thewindshield and side windows.Automatic Air Recirculation:When the AUTO indicator light ison, the air is automaticallyrecirculated as needed to helpquickly cool the inside of thevehicle.@ (Recirculation): Press toalternate between recirculating airinside the vehicle or pulling inoutside air. The indicator light on thebutton is lit when recirculation modeis active. This helps to quickly coolthe air inside the vehicle or preventoutside air and odors from entering.Pressing this button cancelsautomatic recirculation. Press AUTOto return to automatic operation;recirculation runs automatically asneeded.Manual recirculation mode is notavailable when in Defrost mode.Auto Defog: The climate controlsystem may have a sensor toautomatically detect high humidityinside the vehicle. When highhumidity is detected, the climatecontrol system may adjust tooutside air supply and turn on theair conditioner. If the climate controlsystem does not detect possiblewindow fogging, it returns to normaloperation. To turn Auto Defog off oron, see “Climate and Air Quality”under Vehicle Personalization onpage 5-52.Rear Window Defogger= REAR (Rear WindowDefogger): Press to turn the rearwindow defogger on or off.The rear window defogger turns offautomatically after aboutfive minutes. At higher vehiclespeeds, the rear window defoggermay stay on continuously.The heated outside mirrors turn onwhen the rear window defoggerbutton is on. They help to clear fogor frost from the surface of themirrors.{ CautionDo not try to clear frost or othermaterial from the inside of thefront windshield and rear windowwith a razor blade or anythingelse that is sharp. This maydamage the rear windowdefogger grid and affect theradio's ability to pick up stationsclearly.
