Thistriangle changes from amber to redand increases in size the closer theobject.On vehicles with the Rear CrossTraffic Alert (RCTA), a triangle withan arrow may also display on theRVC screen to warn of trafficcoming from either direction. Whenbacking, this system detects objectscoming from up to 20 m (65 ft) fromthe left or right side, behind thevehicle. When an object is detected,either three beeps sound or threeSafety Alert Seat pulses occur onthe left or right side, depending onthe direction of the detected vehicle.Ultrasonic Front and Rear ParkAssist (UFRPA) operates at speedsof less than 8 km/h (5 mph) anddetects nearby objects within a zone25 cm (10 in) high off the groundand below bumper level. UFRPAdetects objects up to 2.5 m (8 ft)behind the vehicle, and detectsobjects up to 1.2 m (4 ft) in front ofthe vehicle. These detectiondistances may be less duringwarmer or humid weather.{ WarningThe parking assist system doesnot detect children, pedestrians,bicyclists, animals, or objectslocated below the bumper or thatare too close or too far from thevehicle.
