A white cruisecontrol indicator appears in theinstrument cluster when cruise isturned on.+RES (Resume/Accelerate):Press the control up briefly to +RESto make the vehicle resume to apreviously set speed or press andhold to accelerate. If cruise controlis already active, use to increasevehicle speed. To increase speed by1 km/h or 1 mph, press +RES up tothe first detent. To increase speed tothe next 5 km/h or 5 mph mark onthe speedometer, press +RES up tothe second detent.SET− (Set/Coast): Press thecontrol down briefly to set the speedand activate cruise control. If cruisecontrol is already active, use todecrease vehicle speed. Todecrease speed by 1 km/h or 1 mph,press SET− down to the first detent.To decrease speed to the next5 km/h or 5 mph mark on thespeedometer, press SET− down tothe second detent.* (Cancel): Press to disengagecruise control without erasing theset speed from memory.Setting Cruise ControlIf the cruise button is on when not inuse, it could get bumped and go intocruise when not desired. Keep thecruise control button off when cruiseis not being used.1. Press J.2. Get up to the desired speed.3. Press and release the SET−control on the steering wheel.4. Remove foot from theaccelerator.When the cruise control has beenset to the desired speed, the cruisecontrol indicator appears green onthe instrument cluster.Resuming a Set SpeedIf the cruise control is set at adesired speed and then the brakesare applied, the cruise control isdisengaged without erasing the setspeed from memory.Once the vehicle speed reachesabout 40 km/h (25 mph) or more,press +RES up to the first detentbriefly on the steering wheel. Thevehicle returns to the previous setspeed.Increasing Speed While CruiseControl is at a Set SpeedIf the cruise control system isalready activated:. Press and hold +RES up untilthe desired speed is reached,then release it.. To increase vehicle speed insmall increments, briefly press+RES up to the first detent. Foreach press, the vehicle goesabout 1 km/h or 1 mph faster.
