If it doesnot come on then, have it fixed so itwill be ready to warn you if there isa problem.If the light comes on and stays on,there is a base brake problem.{ WarningThe brake system might not beworking properly if the brakesystem warning light is on.Driving with the brake systemwarning light on can lead to acrash. If the light is still on afterthe vehicle has been pulled offthe road and carefully stopped,have the vehicle towed forservice.Parking Brake LightThe parking brake status lightcomes on when the parking brake isapplied. If the light continuesflashing after the parking brake isreleased, or while driving, there is aproblem with the electric parkingbrake system or another system.A message may also display in theDriver Information Center (DIC).See Brake System Messages0 136.If the light does not come on,or remains flashing, see your dealer.Service Electric ParkingBrake LightOn some vehicles the serviceelectric parking brake light shouldcome on briefly when the vehicle isin ON/RUN. If it does not come on,have it fixed so it will be ready towarn if there is a problem. Forvehicles with the reconfigurablecluster, this light may not come onwhen the vehicle is in ON/RUN.If this light stays on, there is aproblem with a system on thevehicle that is causing the parkingbrake system to work at a reducedlevel.
